Henley Beach

Started the day at Joes, Henley Beach.

Shouldn’t have to look too far…

Found some!

Back to Joes, gorgeous cafe with gorgeous views.

More beautiful homes and some that were built in 1884.

Only our second ice cream of the whole trip

Another day done, another 20,000 steps, another SLSC cocktail and another beautiful sunset.

Can’t quite get our heads around tomorrow being our last day in Australia!

Adelaide South Beaches

Started with brekkie at the Somerton kiosk

Not a bad view eh?

Warm and sunny but the wind made it chilly, made a new friend

Spot the parrot (?)

Lots of gorgeous homes on this walk this was a favourite fancy that pool.

Hopscotch anyone?

Never ending beaches here at Brighton

Remember this Carter?

Why add a pic of a toilet?
Because it’s fully automated, allows you 10 minutes to do your business, sounds a loitering alarm after 9 (so you can pull your kecks up before the door opens), plays music whilst you work and flushes for you! Hilarious!

The love heart at Glenelg jetty for Molly because she said we’re cute.

SLSC cocktails and a sunset is becoming the norm…

A bit of Adelaide

We’ve spent the last couple of days sharing food, drink and laughter with our family, back to work for them today so we ventured out into the city for the afternoon to do a bit of shopping.

Christmas has come to Adelaide….

Very pretty view over the river (a bit like Oxford) even more so when we came across graduating students.

Adelaide Oval in the background.

  City of churches.

Beachport to Adelaide

Spent the night in Beachport to break up our drive to Adelaide, it’s quite possibly one of the windiest places I’ve ever been.

We think the sea is this colour because of the limestone on this coast.

On the final leg of our Aussie Adventure driving to Adelaide we spotted,

The Big Lobster…

and the Pink Lake (which doesn’t look very pink in this photo but it really was).

Port Fairy

Just pics of a day spent in this Aussie gem.

The Great Ocean Rd Day 2

A beautiful morning to walk on the beach at Apollo Bay.

Next stop Cape Otway Lighthouse but not without heeding the snake warning first!

Time to move on, one of the things we discovered whilst at the lighthouse is that a lot of the blue gum trees are dying which presents a challenge for the wildlife especially Koalas 😢

Further down the road and clearly less of a problem in this part of the Otway National Park, what a magnificent and calming place to drive through.

Which of course means that these guys (there were 3) are more than happy to laze in the trees. Absolutely fabulous to see them in their natural habitat and unfazed by being the centre of

On to the apostles there aren’t twelve these days (apparently there never were 12) but they’re pretty spectacular.

So glad we heeded that snake warning when we came upon this venomous tiger snake, no panic just making sure it crossed the path safely and we got a pic for Leo.

The razorback - amazing!

This landscape is truly stunning and it’s hard to choose pics as once again Tim took fotty seven hundred that are all amazing. A favourite is this one of the blow hole.

And this one of Thunder Cave.

London Bridge fell down and so did the weather, eat your heart out Yoda.

Moving on to Port Fairy, our stop for the night, spotted a couple of kangaroos bouncing round the local golf course, very special as all the others we’ve seen have been in captivity or brown bread.

Gobsmacked at our suite for the night, how about this for a throne room? 😜
