The Great Ocean Rd Day 2

A beautiful morning to walk on the beach at Apollo Bay.

Next stop Cape Otway Lighthouse but not without heeding the snake warning first!

Time to move on, one of the things we discovered whilst at the lighthouse is that a lot of the blue gum trees are dying which presents a challenge for the wildlife especially Koalas 😢

Further down the road and clearly less of a problem in this part of the Otway National Park, what a magnificent and calming place to drive through.

Which of course means that these guys (there were 3) are more than happy to laze in the trees. Absolutely fabulous to see them in their natural habitat and unfazed by being the centre of

On to the apostles there aren’t twelve these days (apparently there never were 12) but they’re pretty spectacular.

So glad we heeded that snake warning when we came upon this venomous tiger snake, no panic just making sure it crossed the path safely and we got a pic for Leo.

The razorback - amazing!

This landscape is truly stunning and it’s hard to choose pics as once again Tim took fotty seven hundred that are all amazing. A favourite is this one of the blow hole.

And this one of Thunder Cave.

London Bridge fell down and so did the weather, eat your heart out Yoda.

Moving on to Port Fairy, our stop for the night, spotted a couple of kangaroos bouncing round the local golf course, very special as all the others we’ve seen have been in captivity or brown bread.

Gobsmacked at our suite for the night, how about this for a throne room? 😜
