The landscape either side of the highway is barren, the trees have been ravaged by fire and there are fire warnings everywhere.
But they’re fighting back and green is beginning to appear again.
It’s so hot today that cows are seeking shelter under the one available tree and sitting on top of each other!
Our favourite place names en route, Didgeridoo lagoon, Banister Bog and Little Goodbye Creek.
All of a sudden a hill (mountain) appears and the land becomes green again.
