Driving down Bruce Highway from Cairns to Townsville through sugar and banana plantations we passed over lots of creeks and gullies with names from Snake to Slaughter House and our particular favourite Bellender. Murdering point winery resonated with Dawn too, can’t think why…We stopped off in Tully to pay homage to Australia’s wettest place and its welly boot.
Spent Friday on Magnetic Island where we saw some real Aussie wildlife on our scooter tour and did a bit more snorkelling.
We loved Maggie Island!
Bring on Airlie Beach tomorrow the next destination in our Queensland road trip.
