Cairns (pronounced cans)

Welcome to Cairns, Tim made a friend on the flight, Steve (who actually out talked Tim, which is no mean feat), a resident of Cairns who gave us some good tips for seeing the city.

Seeing a pelican off the esplanade was a highlight of the evening crazy looking birds.

Neither are teachers, rant over!

Gorgeous tree arch.

Little reccy on the wharf for ferry to Fitzroy Island.

Eat your heart out Jacques Cousteau! Oh my what a fab time we had snorkelling on Nudey Beach (fortunately in name only) After a short while getting used to the equipment, it’s been a long time since we snorkelled and even longer since Tim swam, the coral and fish we saw were absolutely amazing.  Can’t wait to see more of The Great Barrier Reef ( by the way flippers are hard work).

Refer to previous posts from Sydney, “scuse me I need to get to my boat 💄😀”

Dinner by the pool.
